Abstract
Objectives : In this study, we aimed to examine the validity of the NCSE evaluation for LOTCA-G and MMSE-K evaluations in the Geriatric with mild cognitive impairment. Methods : NCSE, MMSE-K, and LOTCA-G were administered to 15 Geriatric people aged 71 years and older at the nursing home in U City and at D City during 20 days from April 20, 2016 to May 20, 2016. Results : The correlation between the performance scores of MMSE-K and LOTCA-G showed a significant correlation coefficient r= 0.760. The comparison between the performance scores of the LOTCA-G and the NCSE was as follows: correlation coefficient r= .791, correlation coefficient r= .794, correlation coefficient r= .639, correlation coefficient r= .823, But the correlation coefficient of attention was r= .377 and the correlation coefficient of memory was r= .501. Conclusion : There is a correlation between MMSE-K and LOTCA-G. The scores of LOTCA-G and NCSE were correlated with items except attention and memory items. This suggests that NCSE is appropriate for the evaluation of cognitive evaluation and can be used as an evaluation tool to detect dementia patients early on behalf of MMSE-K which is weak in sensitivity and LOTCA-G which is a long-term disadvantage.
